You guys I am sharing with you my first ever, self-planned styled wedding shoot! It was on the smaller side since this was my first one (I didn’t want to go too big and things fall apart), but I am super happy that it all came together and happened! I envisioned beautiful fall colors, laid back styling, and easy moments that could be perfectly photographed of my amazing models – who in fact are getting married next August 2020!

For anyone who is looking into planning a styled shoot my first tip is to make sure you plan a couple of months ahead. You want to make sure you have enough time to reach out to other vendors so you can compare calendars and find an open date that works. All wedding vendors are typically booked out for months so keep that in mind! Another huge thing that helped all of my vendors was my mood board that I created for this shoot. It included other shots of couples that I loved, details, and florals. Including a mood board in your first email helps everyone get on the same page right away!

I had an absolutely amazing experience planning my first styled shoot and I will definitely be planning more in the future because MAN it really lets you flex that creative noodle and get out of your comfort zone!
